I confess that I am now completely in love with Aveda Natural Lifestyle Salon. When I was a little girl my Aunt Darlene or Cousin Camille would cut and dye my hair for me. After moving too far away from them, I’ve become the “quick stop at Great Clips for a cheap and easy hair-cut, then box dye it at home” girl.
Julie recommended that I drop that habit and accompany her to Aveda (she has a specific stylist she goes to named Jordan) so she could get free shampoo and conditioner for the referral. So she made us an appointment, her with Jordan and I with Jaimie. I’m glad I went, because it was the best hair cut I’ve ever had.
Jaimie made me tea and then sat me down and told me to close my eyes. She then went on to give me a full scalp, neck, and sholder massage with amazing peppermint scented oil. After that the wash, and the most detailed cut I’ve ever had. To finish, she did my makeup with their mineral makeup.
It couldn’t have looked better, and I will be going to her FOREVER from now on. I was only sad that styling it on my own will never look as good as it did when she finished it up.
I really loved that the Salon didn’t smell like chemicals. It smelled like herbs and essential oils. It was a lovely and relaxing experience.
I confess that I love having lady dates with Julie. After our haircuts we walked over to the chocolate shop, then stopped at Hot Topic so I could buy a new nose-ring, then we did various other shopping-including for shoes. Isn’t Julie’s haircut super cute too?
I confess that I also fell in love with this little Frankenweenie necklace and have been wearing it since!
I confess that I’m super addicted to House of Tibet, the restaurant. I love cheese momos and now Julie is addicted with me too! Their tea is amazing too, even the traditional Tibetan Butter Tea.
