Most of you who follow me know that I don’t do outfit posts. I’m not exactly a fashion blogger (though I enjoy dabbling now and then) and I’m not super-in-love with being in front of the camera. However when eShakti decided to send me one of their gorgeous plus-sized dresses I couldn’t resist. The first thing the roommate said when I pulled this dress out of the box and put it on was “I think that’s the best dress you’ve ever owned!” …And I own lots of dresses. But wow… I felt really pretty in it.
My 10-Year High School Reunion
So of course I chose to wear it to my 10-year High School Reunion which was on the 26th of June. I went and got my hair cut and then fancied myself up before meeting MelanieGrace and her husband Travis to ride down together. Can I just say something about High School Reunions? They really are a lot like High School… You sit with your typical clique, maybe with a few stragglers that decide to join you at the table (who ended up being awesome people) and you listen to the popular kids put on a show. You also (if you’re me) look through all the photos on the wall but never find yours… Ha! Seems about right!
One thing we did do that we had never done in actual High School was sneak booze in-and thank goodness we did! No, we didn’t spike the punch-since we only had individual glasses we just spiked our own glasses and enjoyed it. Then I took lots of pictures and enjoyed catching up with a few people I don’t see often enough.
My eShakti Dress
I had quite a good time, and got lots of amazing compliments on my dress. It’s seriously my new favorite dress. The dress I chose was the Birds Eye View poplin dress, which is now available in Cream. The quality of the dress is fantastic-it can be so hard to find a good (and flattering) plus-sized dress. The seams hold tight and it provides beautiful shape and flow without hugging all the curves I don’t want shown.
I will definitely be ordering from eShakti in the future-it’s also fabulous that on most of the dresses you can alter the cut and the hem length to fit what you’d like to wear. This makes for a custom experience at affordable prices with fast shipping, and they have definitely earned a customer for life in me.
