Some of you may remember when Aubrey from High-Heeled Love and I were doing a weekly link-up called The Weekly Round-Up every Sunday. We loved showcasing other bloggers’ posts that we enjoyed throughout the week, but it became hard to keep up with on a weekly basis when our lives got busy, and people rarely joined us for it. So, since we wanted to keep up with the idea of showcasing the work of other bloggers that we loved, and we both love coffee-Monthly Coffee was born.
What is Monthly Coffee?
Monthly coffee is a monthly linky party where we showcase posts from other bloggers throughout the month. You’ll find all sorts of things here, anything that tickled our fancy for the month, and hopefully you’ll find new posts you love and make some new bloggy friends.
How to Participate in Monthly Coffee
- Write up a post showcasing the other posts you loved throughout the month. (I find it helpful to schedule the post or set it to draft at the start of the month, and then just add links to it as the month goes on so I don’t lose anything.)
- Add the button or a link back to the party to your post.
- Link-up in the inLinkz linky tool at the bottom of this post.
- Visit other partiers and check out what they showcased, and leave comments for them.

Here are some of the posts that I found meaningful this month and why.
I Don’t Care if “Men Hate This Trend” by Haute Tempered
Can we get a big fat AMEN on this one? I definitely do not live my life, cut my hair, get dressed, or do my makeup with the opinion of men in mind-do you? Not likely. We do it because WE feel like we look good/feel comfortable/whatever like that. Stop telling me that “men hate high-wasted shorts” or “men don’t like short hair” because I. Do. Not. Care. I’mma do me, you do you, and those men can do whatever they like too. If you don’t like my clothes/hair/makeup/etc. KEEP IT TO YOURSELF. It’s your problem, not mine.
DIY Ribbon Photobooth Backdrop from Glitter Your Dash
Isn’t this thing adorable? It’d be so fun to hang up for a party and take pictures with. It’d even be pretty to just leave up as decor.

How I Got 1,000 Real, Fun, Awesome Instagram Followers in 30 Days! from Living for Naptime
I loved this post, because it talks about ways of engaging that a lot of other instagram posts I’ve read through haven’t done. I love that she recommends following people back and interacting authentically, because that’s how you actually get real followers-not just followers who’ll never look at your feed again or just unfollow you in a few days. Great tips here for anyone looking to up their IG game.
