I haven’t talked about what I’m carrying around for a long time, so I thought I’d do a fun little show and tell with you today. Some of you already know that after taking two semesters off from school, I’ve gone back this Semester. I’m only taking two classes, because I still have to work full time and spend time with the pup, as well as my other regular life obligations loves. Why two? Well a few semesters ago I tried taking three courses and found that while it’s possible to do, I had a MUCH lower GPA. We’re talking dropping from As to Cs-and I couldn’t handle that. So I’ll go slower and keep my GPA higher.
This semester I have French class (Intermediate French 2 or French 2020) on Mondays and Wednesday mornings, which is why you wont see me around here early on most days anymore, and then I’m taking Intermediate Writing (English 2010) online. This means my bag is already lighter since I don’t need to carry around my English textbook or homework with me, and then on the first day of French class we were informed we wouldn’t be using the textbook-huzzah, a lighter load this semester is exactly what my poor shoulder/neck/back needs!

My Bag This Semester
Well, this has been my bag every semester since I started school a few years back. Many of you will remember when I went back to school and shared a list of handmade college supplies, and this bag was number one in that list. I was obsessed with these big beautiful canvas bags from Kinies, and when I finally decided their pretty messenger bag in dark teal. I’m super happy to say that this bag has not only been going strong for what, two and a half years now? But that it still looks just as nice as it did when it came new… I mean, aside from a few coffee stains it’s earned on the inside, this bag has been hauling around heavy piles of books and supplies without showing one ounce of wear and tear and all of the seems are holding tight. Also no, they did not in any way sponsor this post, I just love this bag so much that I HAVE to recommend it to anyone who needs a good school bag-or a purse of any kind, they offer all kinds of purses and clutches.

What’s In My Bag This Semester?
5 Star Notebook – 1 Subject. I seriously have a hard time justifying the price difference between a regular note book at like $.70 vs. this notebook at $3.99, other than the fact that it has more pages, a pocket, and the pages actually tear properly… I’m a little OCD when it comes to notebooks, and nothing makes me more frustrated than a page that wont tear cleanly… Well, other than Wide Rule paper-it MUST be College Rule. lol
The 2016 Happy Planner. I picked up this pretty little thing at Michaels on clearance for only $14. I mean I spent a lot more on all of the fun little supplies I needed for it, but I’m pretty happy with this so far. Maybe I’ll post about it soon. 🙂
A Brilliant Madness by Robert M. Drake. Have you seen those amazingly relatable snippets of poetry that float around the interwebs and just kind of grab on to your soul? I’m sure you have. If you hadn’t before, you can see a few below. I love them, and R.M. Drake is one of my favorites. So after finding out from his Instagram account that he had just released a new book, I decided that I had to have it. So it’s my current read that I tote around to pick up when times are dull.

Lotion. I’m an addict, I know it, but I also live in a super dry state and my poor skin neeeeeeeds it. I love this Snowkissed Sugar one by Bath and Body Works. It’s all vanilla-y but with a hint of something more fragrant in it.
A protein bar. I always keep one of these on hand just in case I get hungry in between class and work, or I forget to eat since I’m so busy!

Tampons. This is pretty self-explanatory-as a girl I pretty much have to have a couple of these in any bag I carry, my vehicle, and my desk drawer at work. Just in case.
Midol. I swear by Midol, even when I’m not on my period. It’s the best for headaches or anything else, and I even have some of my male coworkers hooked on it for when they get headaches or other ailments.
Spare Charge Cord. Also self-explanatory. I have enough of them laying around that I might as well pack one for charging.
Chapstick. Also self-explanatory. I used to carry EOS but with all the bad reports of it lately, and the fact that I never really feel like it helps my lips, I’ve switched to trying the Soft Lips with Coconut Milk. It feels and smells amazing.
