For years I’ve wanted to visit the Ice Castles in Midway, Utah. I’d seen my good friend Valor’s work as she took absolutely stunning photographs (this one even one a prize at the state fair) there, and I watched the Alex Boyé Africanized version of Let It Go from Frozen which was filmed there. Just so you know what I’m talking about, here it is:
When you first come around the bend towards the ice castles, you’re not sure what you’re looking at, and it’s only as you pull into the parking lot and look up the beautiful formed peaks that you see what you’re about to experience. This post is a bit picture heavy, just FYI.

They’d also built some fun slides for kids-a little one and a big one, and it was fun watching the kids make their way through the tunnels to get to the slide, and then watch them come down the little ice ramp on their behinds.
