Looking good means a lot to women, which is why we carry around makeup bags packed with beauty essentials. Let’s face it – every person wants to look their best because it makes them feel good. I, for one, don’t think that is a problem. In fact, it is something I try to promote as much as I can.
We all have insecurities about our appearance, but it is important to remember that there are some subtle things we can do to change the way we look. For example, my best friend who lives in Kentucky has had a few cosmetic procedures from the Louisville Top Doctor. If making a few tweaks to your face and body makes you feel more confident who is anyone else to judge?
However, that being said, I do find that lots of women don’t always feel their best because they cannot afford to look good. It is a fact that beauty products are expensive, and that excludes some of us from using said products.
No woman should have confidence issues because of money, so I have come up with a plan. Yes, I have done some research and found the best budget beauty tips that I will list below. Hopefully, my tips will mean that none of my readers have to worry about their beauty regime again.
Pump Up The Volume
Flat hair is one thing that we hate. It makes us look like we have just got out of bed, or that we don’t care about our appearance. Fortunately, it is easy to rectify with a few simple tricks. The first is to switch to mousse instead of the styling product of choice. Mousse gets into the roots of our hair and contains resins that coat hair strands. The result is that our hair has far more volume than it would normally. If that doesn’t sound like a good idea, I would recommend drying your hair upside down! No, I haven’t gone crazy because this is a legitimate tip. You can add volume by drying hair away from the roots. I am not sure of the science, but most professional stylists use this recommendation.
Ah, the curse of the red face – we meet again. I don’t know about you, but I have trouble with my skin as I find it hard to keep it moist and smooth. The problem is that I don’t get enough of the nutrients that are essential to my skin’s health. Still, that doesn’t mean I have missed the boat. All we need to rectify the situation is a washcloth of milk. Yes, soak the washcloth in milk and put it over your face. The milk contains nutrients like amino acids and proteins that soothe the skin and reduce the redness. I particularly like using this trick after wearing makeup because it unclogs the pores.
My most effective tip to looking younger on a budget is doing the legwork. Because we wear makeup on a daily basis (most of us), we clog our pores with chemicals and substances that are harmful. Not to mention that they make us look older. The key is to clean your face to get rid of the makeup as soon as you finish for the day. We even need to wipe our faces after a night out with the girls so that the makeup doesn’t settle. I don’t use use antibacterial wipes any more because i have heard bad things. Instead, I use warm, soapy water and a washcloth.
Get Some Sleep
The one thing that makes us look older is a lack of sleep. Sleep is the body’s way of recuperating after a long day. If we don’t get the chance to recuperate for long enough, we will start to exhibit the signs of ageing. For one thing, bags will start to appear under our eyes. And, sleep deprivation can also speed up the onset of wrinkles as it affects the skin. All we have to do, though, is get to bed at a decent hour. If we catch up on our 40 winks, we will soon look a lot better.
How many of us can say that we get enough exercise? The majority of us don’t get enough exercise, and that is a problem. The one thing that exercise is good for, apart from staying fit, is relieving stress. I don’t know if you are aware, but stress is a killer. It can cause a lot of damage if it gets hold of you, and your appearance will take a battering. Again, stress speeds up the onset of ageing, which is why it is important to exercise. Going to the gym or playing sport lets us release the stress from our bodies and stop it from building up.
Switch Your Diet
What goes hand in hand with exercise? Our diets. Although we may think that our diets only affect us on the inside, they affect us on the outside. Our skin is an organ just like the heart or lungs, and what we eat affects how it looks and functions. A bad diet can take away the gloss and the sheen from our skin and make it look dry and flaky. The good news is that we can make it glow by eating the right foods. I like to think of fish as a superfood because it has so many healing properties. If we eat enough fish and vegetable, we will look younger.
Use Professional Products
I know you are on a budget, but anti-ageing creams don’t have to cost a fortune, especially for the busy woman, nothing tops Advanced Night Repair from Estee Lauder. With that being said, skincare is important, so even if you do decide to invest in a product that is pricey and you’ve heard positive things about it, maybe it will be worth it. Plus, you never know if you don’t try.
I like to use LifeCell cream for this exact reason. It doesn’t add much to my monthly expenditures, so it is affordable. More importantly, it works as over seventy percent of the users are happy with the results. Effectiveness is the key when you are looking for a cream to fight the signs of ageing. There is no point buying a cheap product if it doesn’t work because that is more of a waste. Make sure you are happy with the results before you part with your money.
DIY To The Rescue
The thought of trusting a pharmaceutical company may not sound appealing. If that is the case, we need an alternative. The best one I know is to make your personal anti-ageing cream. Our kitchens are full of materials that are perfect for fighting wrinkles and co. All we have to do is mix them into a paste and plaster them on our faces.
See, looking younger on a budget is possible.
