The Haiku is traditionally a Japanese poem that has been widely adapted for English also. The focus is syllabic, with seventeen syllables in sets of 5-7-5 on three different lines. The focus of these types of poems are most often about the natural world, or nature in general, and they are meant to evoke strong imagery with real brevity. The creativity that goes into writing a poem like this is astounding, as you need to convey an entire image or idea with short concise statements that work together, but also sort of cut each other to the point. It’s kind of fascinating!
Personal Haiku
In the spirit of inspiring creativity, I decided to ask my March sponsors to introduce themselves to you in the form of Haiku. While it isn’t necessarily “nature” oriented in the sense of a personal Haiku that I’m asking for, it also seems very natural in it’s representation. I wanted to know how each of my sponsors could define themselves in only this short burst of words with very strict rules on how it needs to be put forth. Here’s mine to start:
Visions of chaos
what joy it is to live it
love is found within
My March Sponsors & Their Haiku
Each of my sponsors wrote their own Haiku, but they also answered a few questions so we could get to know them better. I hope you find a new blogger or shop to love!

A Bucket List Item They Hope to Accomplish This Year & How
Deynece | This might not seem big for most but I have always wanted to own a home. My husband and I just got our pre approval letter and we are officially going to begin our house hunting journey. YAAAAY!!! We are looking to buy new or to be built so we are going to explore all of our options, neighborhoods, school districts etc and decide which is best for us. We couldn’t be more excited to get this crossed off our bucket list this year!!
Melissa | Kind of along Deynece’s bucket list this year is finish building our home! We began last fall and hope to be finished and in this summer! I have another one that is probably more “exciting” and that is travel surprise my hubby with a small trip. 🙂
Three Posts that Best Represent Deux Bella
Melissa and I both brainstormed on what our three favorite posts to represent our blog were and we always say we have *Same Brain* because our answers were the same.
Our first post would have to be our Valentines Day Makeup Tutorial, this is our favorite look of them all. We love this look because you can honestly use this look for so many different occasions. It’s my best glam makeup on myself while still feeling natural and not too overdone. We also used this look for our Photo Shoot Makeup Tutorial for our pictures we took with Cat Palmer and this look is very similar to how I did my own makeup for my wedding. We are an all things Beauty Blog so our first pick starts with our favorite makeup look!
Our second post would have to be our first post into our Skin Care Series, Understanding Skin Type to Get Better Results. With Melissa being a Master Esthetician and my love for all things skin care we feel this post offers great, informative and useful information to our readers to truly understand their skin type to prepare them for what comes in the rest of our more advanced Skin Care Posts. Beauty starts from within but what people don’t always realize is, that if your skin isn’t healthy, then makeup can’t make that big of a difference. I know I always feel more confident when my skin looks good without makeup so this post is near and dear to our hearts!
WE CAN’T EVEN SAY HOW IMPORTANT THIS POST IS!!!! Because we are all things beauty and are always speaking skincare makeup etc, it’s a bit unsettling how many people do not properly clean or just do not clean their products, tools, brushes etc. This was a post from our Makeup Organization 101 Series 10 Tips To Get Everything Cleaned. Melissa brilliantly broke down some amazing ways to clean things from Lipstick, False Lashes, Curling Irons & Blow Driers to your Clarisonic and your Loofa! We are both a bit OCD so organizing, especially when it comes to beauty is right up our alley.

My biggest goal this year (ya know, besides the whole moving into our first house thing) is to find an eating plan and a form of exercise that works for me. And no, I don’t mean all of the shakes, pills, wraps, and equipment that my friends with the best intentions at heart try to suggest to me. I want to find my way on my own and discover what works for me – not for them.
I know it’ll take a lot of soul searching, trial and error. I plan to do a lot more research on what I believe is my personal eating problem and seek the guidance of professionals to get to the root of my eating disorder.

My blog is just as much about who I am as it is about discovering myself. Sure, I talk a lot these days about home decor and hand made goods, but those are just small pieces of the puzzle. The heart of my blog is in the personal posts about myself. It’s there that readers discover what I’m all about.

A Bucket List Item She Hopes to Accomplish This Year & How
Surprisingly, I’ve never really sat down and made a bucket list. However, I generally have an evolving list of things that I want to accomplish, and if you do too, as many others have – you’ll want to make sure you make the most of your golden years. This year, I’d really like to see my hopes for The Veganista Foodie come into fruition. I’m currently dedicating a lot of time to blogging. I’m doing my best to learn as much as possible and take notes from other successful bloggers. I’m focusing on getting my content and brand out there as much as possible. I’m excited to see what progress will be made over the next few months.

Chia Lime Avocado Toast – This recipe is quick and easy and makes for a healthy lunch or a hearty snack. It is representative of the types of recipes that I post. I like to share recipes that are simple but still delicious. I also like to post recipes that prove that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to eat healthy and flavorful vegan meal.
9 Cruelty Free Target Brands – This post is about some the cruelty free brands that you can find at target. Like many of my posts, it goes to show that you can live a plant based lifestyle even if you are on a budget. You don’t have to shop at specialty stores to find great cruelty free items. I love doing posts that make it easier to shop cruelty free, whether you are vegan or just a conscious consumer.
10 Foods You Love and Don’t Have To Give Up To Go Vegan – In addition to some of my recipes, this post contains some great recipes from several other awesome bloggers. The purpose of this post was to show that you don’t have to give up all your favorite foods to which to a plant based lifestyle. I love doing posts like this that contradict some of the misconceptions about veganism. This post is representative of the approachable, non judgmental and fun way that I try to educate people about a plant based lifestyle with my blog.

A Bucket List Item She Hopes to Accomplish This Year & How
2016 is one giant bucket list item! At the end of last year my hubby and I decided we had had enough of corporate life and needed a break. We sold our house, quit our jobs, bought a RV and are traveling the U.S. doing what we love. For me it is the opportunity to blog full time, I love writing. For Mr. Misadventures it is photography. Sometimes he takes the lead on where we go based on something he wants to take pictures of; sometimes I take the lead on where we are going, usually driven by food!

I love farmers. They are the salt of the earth and are great storytellers. What is blogging but storytelling? I have interviewed many, but my most recent one is a grapefruit farmer in Borrego Springs.
I travel through my stomach. Seriously. It drives a lot of the things I do while traveling and even determines trip destinations. I just wrote a little bit about that in a sponsored post for Hole in Wall. I love teaming up with brands that allow you the autonomy to tell your own story and weave their product or service into it naturally. Not all brands do this, which is why I am selective about who I work with. That’s a reflection on my position on influencer marketing.
This one might be a cheat as it is a series rather than a post. I feel strongly that blogging is about giving, sharing and supporting the community. We make each other stronger by lifting each other up. One way I do that is in blogger interviews like my Traveler Tuesday series. In this series (and I have done others with food bloggers) I interview a travel blogger and share their presence with my readers. It has been really great fun especially when I meet them in real life at conferences, etc.!

A Bucket List Item She Hopes to Accomplish This Year & How
Well, I actually checked off a MAJOR bucket list item this year so far—to visit Ireland! 😀 I’m hoping that we can work out the timing to go to Alaska, which is another item at the top of the list for both my husband and me. Right now, we’re in the budgeting stage (which is the least fun part of traveling), so once that’s done, we’ll have to make sure that my husband saves enough of his vacation days to go!

What would your Haiku be?
If you missed it last month, and are still intrigued with some beautiful creative writing, I asked my sponsors to define themselves in only six words via six word memoirs and it’s definitely worth a look.
