Last weekend we had our Halloween-themed baby shower, and we had such a blast! So many people showed up, there was good food, and we got a lot of adorable stuff for the baby that we can’t wait to use. I just wanted to take some time today to share images from the baby shower and recap how it went.
My mom made these adorable baby pumpkins and this cute cute cute sign welcoming people to the shower. She’s so talented!
Chris and I were so grateful to celebrate with everyone we loved. It was such a great evening!
We saw this Ghost Balloon at Smiths and had to have it for the party! So perfect!
The Halloween-Themed Baby Shower Invites
I spent two days making and addressing invites. I made these from scratch, design and all. They turned out so cute!
The Halloween-Themed Baby Shower Food
Friday night I went up to Kristina’s house and we worked together to make food for the shower. She was so sweet and bought all the supplies as an early gift, and then it was so much fun spending time cooking together and with her kiddos. These turned out SO cute!
Cheese Witch Brooms – Who knew it was so hard to tie chives around a piece of cheese on a pretzel? They turned out delicious though, and everyone loved them! I snagged this idea from Pinterest.
Witch Finger Pretzels – These were SUPER easy. You basically just dip pretzels into candy melts and top it off with a slivered almond for a nail. So cute! I snagged this idea from this pin.
Eyeball Party Snacks – This one I adapted from this zombie eyeball pin on pinterest. Word of warning, don’t use gel frosting to do the black dots and red lines because it stays sticky no longer how long it dries lol!
Pumpkin Shaped Deviled Eggs – Kristina made these delicious deviled eggs which we got the idea for from this pin. They were SO good!
The Gifts
We got so many cute things! One of my friends also suggested buying me a casting kit so I can make some belly casts to record my pregnancy. (Although, in the end, I think she thought buying me a hand casting kit after the baby was born would better since a tiny hand is probably cuter than my big belly!) The photos are blurry, I didn’t take any myself so I gathered them from my mom and sister who were just using their phones. Bear with us on the low-quality phone photos, some are pretty cute though and show off some of the adorable stuff we received. You can click on the image to see it larger.
The Halloween-Themed Baby Shower Guests
It was so great to see everyone who showed up. My mom, dad, and little sister all drove down and helped out tremendously. My Aunt Vicki was gracious enough to host the party at her house, and my grandma Dottie (who I haven’t seen in years) flew in from Vegas to be there. There were also some great friends from High School that stopped by, and other friends and family who made an appearance.
After the party my mom sent me this picture of some baby outfits she kept from when I was very small. Awwww. Look at those!
