Can you believe my sweet baby girl is 4 months old this month? I can’t… I also missed updating about when she turned 3 months old, so I have a bit extra to update you on. She turned 3 months old right before I went back to work and it’s been a crazy few weeks. Also… This update is late, seeing as she’ll be 5 months next week… But who knows when I’ll get that update posted? Ha!
Amélie at 4 Months
This sweet little girl is growing so incredibly fast, and I am such a lucky momma. She’s an absolute joy, and I couldn’t love her more.
As of her four month checkup, she weighs 14 pounds 8.9 ounces and is 25.5 inches long. She’s in the 80th percentile for height, 65th percentile for head size, and 45th percentile for weight.
During her 3rd and 4th months, baby Amélie reached a lot of of milestones. She practically mastered head control super early, loved tummy time, and we had to take the newborn insert out of her car seat so she could fit in it.
Amélie also got to try her jumper for the first time. My cousin Monica provided us this jumper as a hand-me-down, and I’m so glad she did! From minute one, Amélie has been enamored with it. She loves it much more than she ever cared about her swing or the bouncy chair.
This little girl is a mermaid at heart, like her mother. During months 3 and 4, we mostly moved away from her bath time in the sink in favor of big girl baths with Mommy. She LOVES them.
Learning to Love Toys
Towards the end of month 3, and into month 4, she decided she really likes her toys. She’s playing with her lovees, chewy toys, and more.
Firsts for Amélie
Amélie also had a few firsts over these two months… Including getting to try on the onesie I came home from the hospital in when I was a baby in April of 1986. It was way too small for her at that point, but she still looked cute!
She celebrated her first Valentine’s Day and her first St. Patrick’s Day. SO cute!
Oh and Easter… Easter was so fun, and she’s SO cute.
Amélie also got to experience her first snow. I wanted her to get to wear her cute Sleeping Beauty snow suit at least once before she outgrew it, and she did for about 5 minutes when I laid her in the snow to take these pictures.
Spending Time with People She Loves
Amélie got to spend time with a lot of people she loved over throughout her third and fourth months. It was so cute to watch her spend time with so many of the people I treasure. Like my grandma and grandpa, her great grandparents:
And my brother and his cute puppies…
And daddy and brothers…
And of course momma…
If you’ll recall, when we posted about her turning 2 months, the doctor wanted us to get in for an ultrasound for her hip. The doctor heard a click and suspected hip displasia. We had her ultrasound at Primary Children’s in March, and luckily everything came back negative. No hip brace for baby!
More Cute Pictures…
Since I still have so many cute pictures to show you without any specific updates… Enjoy. 🙂
Oh, and you know, she’s already trying to steal my food…
