Hello readers! Today I want to turn you over to one of my fantastic sponsors, Ashley of Simply Ashley Nichole, so she can tell you why you should make the effort to get dressed each day. I don’t do this… But now having read her logic, I think I should reconsider.
Have you ever had one of those days where you just feel like staying in your PJs all day and not even touching your hair or makeup? I have had my fair share of those lately. I fight it though each day and get dressed. Why you might ask?
There is something about getting dressed, fixing the hair, and putting on makeup that triggers the body. I get a sense of “Let’s Do This!” when I get ready for the day. It alerts the body that you are ready to conquer the day and tackle the tasks at hand. I was told as a young child, on test days to dress up because it puts your brain to it’s “A” game. It notifies your brain that we are on an important mission. Each day we had a test in school, you would see most of our class dressed to the hilt so we could succeed.

It helps you feel better about yourself. I know this may seem odd, but if you are constantly wearing sweats each day you are going to start to feel down. It’s not because they are ugly or anything, it is simply that you should get dolled up every once in awhile to boost your confidence. It improves your overall mood for the day. Even if you are wearing athletic style clothes each day, you can still get dressed up. They have so many cute and affordable athletic clothes, that it would be a shame not to make yourself feel great each day.
I have always been told not to judge a book by its cover; however we live in society that judges based on first impressions. It drives me nuts that I have to wear more of an athletic outfit twice a week. I know I just put above that they make adorable athletic clothes, but it just isn’t like me to wear them out in public all day. Since we are judged by our first impression a lot of time, I try to look my best or at least decent each day.
Dressing each day lets us express who we are. I know who I am and my clothes help me justify my to-do list, my future career, and my current job. It helps me look more professional and ready to achieve anything attitude. I can add my own twist to an outfit and it makes it mine. So dress to express yourself.
Lastly, you should dress each day because you deserve to look good and feel great. Do I need to say anymore on this point. Probably not!
